News Topical, Digital Desk : Mira Nair, the mother of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, has been named in the Epstein Files. In 2009, Mira Nair attended an after-party at Ghislaine Maxwell's home for her film "Amelia."
On Friday, January 30, the US Justice Department released more than 3 million pages of documents on convicted criminal Jeffrey Epstein, including 2,000 videos and 180,000 photographs. Mira Nair's name was revealed in this document.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk is also named in the Epstein Files. These documents detail email conversations between Epstein and Musk.
Mamdani's mother named in Epstein files
The documents also disclose an email sent by publicist Peggy Siegal to Jeffrey Epstein on October 21, 2009. This email was sent early in the morning, shortly after Siegal left a party attended by former President Bill Clinton and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
Details about the after-party are provided in an email sent by Peggy Siegel. The email read, "Just left Ghislain's townhouse... the after-party for the film. Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were there... Jean Pigoni, director Mira Nair... etc."
The email also mentioned the guests' reaction to Mira Nair's film, saying, "The film received a lukewarm response, though the women seemed to like it more...Hilary Swank and Jane at a stupid party in the cheap sportswear department of Bloomingdale's...very weird."
The email further read, “Studio got a free store party and windows for a month...going into Wall Street 2 tomorrow...more to come. xoxo Peg.”
Elon Musk's name is also included
The Epstein Files detail email conversations between Epstein and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In November 2012, Epstein sent Musk an email asking, "How many people will be with you on the helicopter to the island."
Musk replied on November 25, 2012, "Probably just Talulah and me." Musk then asked Epstein, "When's the biggest party on your island?"
