News Topical, Digital Desk : In view of the increased demand for electricity as the heat intensifies in the state, Dr. Ashish Goyal, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, has warned officials to make full preparations now to ensure everyone receives a better power supply this summer. He also urged them to take utmost care to ensure transformers do not malfunction.
Dr. Goyal stated that adequate funds have been allocated for transformer maintenance. Instructions have been issued to install tailless fuse units on every transformer. Despite this, if transformers continue to blow, strict action will be taken.
He also directed action to be taken by assigning responsibility for incomplete work. Wherever work is significantly behind schedule, action should be taken against the firm.
Responsibility should be fixed against officers and junior engineers and action should be taken. He said that the heat will increase further in the coming days. Preparations should be made accordingly. Adequate personnel are available, so supply should not be disrupted anywhere. Everyone should receive electricity as per schedule.
