The ATACMS missile mentioned by Russia in its statement has a range of 300 kilometers. The ATACMS missile weighs up to 160 kilograms. ATACMS is a surface-to-surface missile. It is capable of attacking targets far beyond the range of army guns, rockets and other missiles.

Attacks on the interior of Russia

It is believed that America has given these missiles to Ukraine. Ukraine is now asking America for permission to use them to attack Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been demanding long-range missiles and fighter planes from America and other allied countries for almost a year so that his army can attack the interior areas of Russia.

Zelensky says this will put pressure on Russia to end the Ukraine war, but Western countries fear this could expand the scope of the war and it could spread outside Ukraine.

Warned America and Western countries

Russian government spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Ukraine's attack on Russia will be met with a strong response. It is not possible to guess the level of this response. Russian Parliament Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has also warned the US and Western countries about supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine and attacking Russia with them. He said that after that the war can reach the US, Germany, France and Britain.

US and UK foreign ministers arrive in Kyiv

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Wednesday. The joint visit of the two leaders has come at a time when Ukraine is carrying out a series of drone attacks on Russia and is seeking long-range weapons from allies.

Blinken has reached Kiev from London along with his British counterpart Lammy. In London, the US Foreign Minister accused Iran of giving Faith-360 short range ballistic missiles to Russia. Russia is attacking Ukraine with these missiles. But Iran has denied the statements made by America and Ukraine. It has said that it has not given ballistic missiles to Russia. While British Foreign Minister Lammy has said that we will stand against the stubbornness of Russian President Putin.
