Karachi: Two Hindu girls were recently abducted from their home in Pakistan's Sindh province. Hindu community leaders have demanded security to stop repeated abductions and forced conversions. "We keep getting reports of such incidents almost every week from different parts of the province and no one is paying attention to it," said Shiva Kachi of the Hindu community in Hyderabad, Sindh.

The Hindu community is living in extreme fear.'Shiv Kachi is the head of Pakistan Darewar Ittehad. This organization fights to recover kidnapped Hindu girls, against their forced conversion and their marriage to Muslims. Sometimes such girls are married to elderly people.

Kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl

Shiv Kachi said that in recent days two Hindu girls were kidnapped from their homes by armed men in Khairpur and Mirpurkhas. A 16-year-old girl was kidnapped in Khairpur. A seventh grade student was kidnapped in Digri town near Mirpurkhas. Officials of Pakistan and Sindh province should ensure the safety of the people of the Hindu community.
