Hindus will no longer be able to perform worship during the time of Azan in Bangladesh. People of the Hindu community will be banned from listening to bhajans and playing loudspeakers during the time of Azan and Namaz. The interim government's Home Affairs Advisor and retired Lieutenant General Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has issued the order.
According to the report of the newspaper Dhaka Tribune, the Home Ministry of Bangladesh has issued an order that if anyone is found violating these rules then the police will arrest him without any warrant.
Order given to Puja committees
The interim government has urged the Hindu community to stop Durga Puja-related activities, especially playing music during azaan and namaz. Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retired) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Puja committees have been asked to keep musical instruments and sound systems off and they have agreed to this.
Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also said that a total of 32,666 puja mandaps will be built across the country this year. According to the Dhaka Tribune report, 157 of these mandaps will be in Dhaka South City and 88 in North City Corporation. Madrasa students will be deployed in Hindu temples
Let us tell you that a few days ago, the Bangladesh government has also ordered the deployment of madrasa students in Hindu temples during Durga Puja. Bangladesh's religious affairs advisor Dr. AFM Khalid Hussain visited the Premtali Gaurang Bari Kali Temple located in Godagri of Rajshahi district.
