Tokyo: There was a stir at Japan's Narita Airport on Monday when smoke suddenly started coming out of a Singapore Airlines plane while landing. After the incident, the runway of Narita Airport was temporarily closed. However, luckily no passenger was injured in the accident.
According to news agency AFP, officials received reports of smoke coming out of the left engine of the Singapore Airlines plane. Airport and fire service officials said six fire engines and two ambulances arrived at the scene after the smoke came out. The airport runway was closed from 7:40 am.

Considering the seriousness of the incident, fire service officials inspected the plane for an hour. There were 276 passengers including crew members on board the plane.
