Beijing: The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday that troops have withdrawn from four locations in eastern Ladakh, including the Galwan Valley. On Thursday, India's National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting in St Petersburg, Russia, in which both the countries agreed to work together to improve bilateral relations.

Both sides agreed to work diligently to completely withdraw troops from the border. Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said that both armies have retreated in four areas. The situation on the border is under control and stable.
He gave this response in response to a question in the weekly briefing of the Ministry of External Affairs whether the two countries are close to reviving bilateral relations which have been frozen for more than four years due to the military standoff in eastern Ladakh.
Both countries will resolve their differences
He said that the stability of China-India relations is in the long-term interest of both countries. It is also very important for regional peace and development. In the meeting held in Russia, both the countries agreed to implement the consensus, enhance mutual understanding and trust, maintain continuous communication and create conditions for promoting bilateral relations. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed hope that both sides will resolve their differences from a pragmatic perspective.
