Washington: The investigative agency FBI has made a big disclosure on Wednesday regarding the shooting of former US President Donald Trump last month. The gunman who tried to kill Trump at an election rally in Pennsylvania had opened fire considering this incident as a "big opportunity".

The shooter was waiting for a long time

According to Al-Jazeera's report, the shooter from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, opened fire on Trump at an outdoor rally in Butler. The shooter had been waiting for a long time to attack Trump. Trump was shot in the ear in the attack.

There was an attempt to attack a large gathering

The New York Post, citing sources, reported that shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was sitting on the roof of a manufacturing plant 130 yards from the stage at the Butler Farm Showgrounds. According to FBI officials, Thomas Crooks, 20, had attempted to attack large gatherings several times before targeting the Republican presidential candidate at a rally in Pennsylvania in July. 

Searched 60 times about Biden

FBI officials said Thomas Crooks searched more than 60 times for information on Trump and his then-rival, Democratic President Joe Biden, before registering for Trump's rally. According to Al-Jazeera, Kevin Rojek, the top FBI official in western Pennsylvania, said in a telephone briefing to reporters on Wednesday,

Let us tell you that after the attack on Trump, Crooks was shot by Secret Service marksmen and an AR-style rifle was later recovered.
