Washington: The US Department of Justice is considering the option of breaking up Google, run by the Alphabet company. This option is being considered because the court found that Google illegally maintains a monopoly in the online search market. Bloomberg has given this information.

The company's stock fell by three per cent

After this news became public, the stock of this tech giant fell by three percent on Wednesday. A spokesperson of the Law Department has said that the court order is being analyzed. Along with this, possible steps and related legal options are being considered. But no concrete decision has been taken yet.

Many allegations against Google

A Google spokesperson declined to comment on the matter. The court order came last week in which Google was found guilty of violating the Anti Trust Law. It was believed that Google had spent billions of dollars to monopolize the market illegally.
