According to the Vedic calendar, Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month will start on 14th September at 05:04 am. At the same time, this Tithi will end on 15th September at 03:06 am. After this, Navami Tithi will start. Thus, Jitiya Vrat will be observed on 14th September.
