This story is very interesting because Hanuman 's son was born miraculously. Therefore, it is said that his celibacy was not broken. Let's read the legend associated with it.
The unique story of the birth of Makardhwaj
The story of Makardhwaj's birth is found in the Valmiki Ramayana and some mythological texts. It is believed that when Hanumanji reached Lanka in search of Sita and his tail was set on fire on Ravana's orders, he set Lanka ablaze with his burning tail. After burning Lanka, he jumped into the sea to extinguish the fire and cool his body. Due to the intense fire in Lanka, Hanumanji's body temperature had increased significantly. Because of this, when he reached the cool waters of the sea, a drop of sweat from his body fell into the sea water.
At that time, a huge fish was present in the sea. It unknowingly swallowed that drop from Hanumanji's body. Due to the effect of that drop, that Makar became pregnant. After some time, the servants of Ahiravan, the king of Patala lok, caught that Makar. When they started cutting the fish, a child came out from its stomach. The form of this child was like that of a monkey and a fish. Ahiravan took that child in his service. Because of being born from the stomach of a fish, that child was named Makaradhwaj (Makaradhwaja Birth, Hanuman Celibacy) . It is said that he was made the gatekeeper of Patalapuri.
How did Hanuman ji meet Makardhwaj?
Hanuman met his son Makaradhwaj when he went to Patala Loka to rescue Lord Rama and Lakshmana from Ahiravan. Makaradhwaj and Hanuman fought at the entrance. Makaradhwaj then recounted the story of his birth, after which Hanuman realized that he was his son. Makaradhwaj's birth was a divine coincidence and a drop of sweat, which did not break Hanuman's vow of celibacy.
