News Topical, Digital Desk : Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump delivered a major address to the nation on Thursday (April 2). He stated clearly that the war is not over yet. Operation Epic Fury continues, and that a tougher approach will be adopted in the next two to three weeks. He further stated that key targets in Iran are nearing completion.
Iran warned of a major attack
"We will continue our campaign to achieve our targets. America is on track to achieve all of our goals very soon," Trump said in his address. He added, "We are going to hit them very hard in the next two to three weeks. We will take them back to the Stone Age, where they truly belong."
'Operation Fury' will continue - Trump
US President Donald Trump said, "Operation Fury" will continue. He said, "As we speak this evening, it has been just over a month since the US military launched Operation Epic Fury. Over the past four weeks, our forces have achieved a decisive and overwhelming victory on the battlefield. A victory the likes of which few have ever witnessed."
Threatened to attack power plant
He warned Iran that if no agreement was reached, their power plants would be attacked. Trump said, "If they are not willing to compromise, we will launch a massive attack on all their power generation plants, possibly simultaneously." Regarding regime change in Iran, Trump said that the attack was never aimed at regime change, but rather that the death of their Supreme Leader has led to a regime change.
He reiterated that Iran's navy has been destroyed, its air force decimated, and most of its top leaders now dead. "Their command and control over the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being completely eliminated. Never before in the history of warfare has an enemy suffered such precise and massive losses in just a few weeks."
