News Topical, Digital Desk : This time, big preparations are being made for the lunar eclipse on 7 September in Ayodhya. The time of the eclipse will start from 9:58 pm and will last till 1:26 am. During this, the peak period of the eclipse will be from 11:05 pm to 12:05 pm.

According to Vedic traditions, the Sutak period begins about 9 hours before the eclipse. For this reason, the doors of all the monasteries and temples, including the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, will be closed before time.

The doors of Ram Mandir will be closed on this day

The Ram Mandir Trust has clarified that after the afternoon aarti on September 7, Ramlala's temple will be closed for devotees. After this, the doors of other major temples and monasteries of Ramnagari will also be closed.

During the Sutak period, neither worship will be done in the temples nor will darshan-pujan be allowed. After the Moksha Kaal of the lunar eclipse i.e. on the morning of 8th September, the doors of the temples will be opened again and from that time onwards, devotees will be able to have darshan of Lord Ramlala.

This information was given from the ex-account of Ram Janmabhoomi

Due to the lunar eclipse falling on Bhadrapada Shukla Purnima, Sunday 7 September 2025, darshan at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple will be available only till 12:30 pm. After that the doors of the temple will be closed and will reopen for devotees only after Mangala Aarti in the morning on Monday 8 September.

As per tradition, all worship and prayers will be suspended during the eclipse period and special purification rituals will be performed after the Moksha period. After this, devotees will be able to have darshan of Ramlala again as per the pre-determined time.

Tradition is going on since ancient times

This tradition has been going on since ancient times in Ramnagari that religious rituals are postponed during the period of eclipse and sutak. After the eclipse ends, purification, bathing and special worship are done in the temples. This tradition will be followed this time also by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust and local priests.

Vedic scholars believe that religious activities are prohibited during the eclipse period. Therefore, the same rule will be applicable in all the major temples of Ramnagari. According to the trust, the doors of the Ram temple will be closed in the afternoon so that traditions can be followed before the Sutak period begins.

You will be able to see Ramlala on this day

After the eclipse ends, special purification rituals will be performed in the temples on the morning of September 8 and then devotees will be able to have darshan of Ramlala at the pre-determined time. During this time, devotees coming to Ayodhya have also been appealed to follow Vedic traditions. That is, Ramlala's temple will remain closed from the afternoon of September 7 and devotees will be able to avail the benefit of darshan again from the morning of September 8.
