News Topical, Digital Desk : Chandrashekhar Azad, MP from Nagina Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh and National President of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), has raised the issue of equal pay. The Nagina MP raised his voice in favour of employees by carrying a placard in his hand in the Parliament premises, talking about equal work, equal pay and equal respect. He has asked why contract workers are being paid less than permanent employees for doing the same work.
Regarding this matter, Nagina MP posted on X and wrote- "Today, I raised my voice in favor of employees from the Parliament House premises. When the work is the same, then why is there discrimination in salary and respect? The Honorable Supreme Court has also said - "Equal Pay for Equal Work" is the right of every employee. Articles 14, 16 and 39 (d) of the Constitution clearly state the right of every citizen of the country to equal opportunity in government jobs and equal pay for equal work. Then why do contract workers get less salary than permanent employees for doing the same work? If this is not injustice then what is it?
If you are doing equal work then you should get equal pay
Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad further wrote - "Equal work, equal pay, equal respect is a constitutional and legal principle. It means that if two people are doing the same work on the same post with equal qualification, then they should get equal pay, whether they are permanent employees or temporary or contract employees. On this serious issue related to the rights, rights and dignity of the employees of the country, Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) humbly request the government to make a clear and effective law in the interest of employees across the country on this important subject and cooperate in giving the employees their just rights."
This bill is to break the opposition- Chandrashekhar Azad
On the other hand, Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad said on the bill demanding removal of Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers from their posts if they stay in jail for 30 days, that this bill is to break the opposition. It is against the Constitution, it is an insult to the public. Why did the ED not take any action against any BJP or NDA minister in the last 11 years.
