What happened in Dharamshala?
Indo-Pak tensions escalated after Pakistan attempted a drone attack near Chandigarh. The incident came after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, in which 26 people were killed. The match was halted midway and the stadium was evacuated for security reasons. Preity appealed to the people present in the stadium to leave peacefully and quickly. Her calm and responsible behavior was praised on social media. In a viral video, Preity was seen in a white T-shirt and jeans asking fans to leave in an orderly manner.
Said this to BCCI by writing a note
Preity wrote a long note on Instagram thanking the Indian Railways and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for helping both IPL teams, officials and their families evacuate safely from Dharamsala. Both teams, coaching staff and broadcast crew were taken to Hoshiarpur in 40-50 small vehicles, from where they were sent to Delhi on a special train via Jalandhar railway station. Kangra Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri confirmed this. Preity has also thanked the BCCI, Jay Shah, Arun Dhumal, and Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon.
Actress apologizes to fans
Preity apologized to fans for refusing to take photos. She wrote, "Everyone's safety was my responsibility. I refused to take photos, sorry for that." She praised the people of Dharamshala, who evacuated the stadium without panicking. Preity said, "There was no stampede due to your cooperation." She has now reached home safely. Preity's responsibility and restraint is being appreciated everywhere. She will soon be seen with Sunny Deol in the film Lahore 1947.
