In simple words, many fasts and festivals including Sawan Monday and Nag Panchami are celebrated with great pomp in the first week of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month.

The third Monday of the month of Sawan is on 28th July. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Ganesha will be worshipped with devotion. Also, Sawan Monday fast will be observed. The glory of this fast is described in the scriptures.
Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated on the next day of the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of every month. This year Vinayak Chaturthi is on Monday, 28th July. On this day Lord Ganesha is duly worshipped. Lord Ganesha is worshipped first.
Every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan, the snake deity is worshipped along with the Shiva family. Nag Panchami is celebrated on this auspicious occasion. This day is considered the best for the removal of Kalsarp Dosh. This year Nag Panchami will be celebrated on 29th July.
According to the Vedic calendar, Durga Ashtami of the month of Sawan will be celebrated on 01 August. On this auspicious occasion, the goddess of the world, Maa Durga, will be worshipped. Also, a fast will be observed for her. By observing this fast, the blessings of Goddess Maa Durga are showered on the devotee.
The fourth Monday of the month of Sawan is on 04 August. On this day, the last Monday fast of the month of Sawan will be observed. On this auspicious occasion, special worship of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati will be done in the temples. Along with this, Jalabhishek of the God of Gods, Mahadev will be done.
