Ram ji's wedding procession is taken out

During Vivah Panchami , the entire city of Ayodhya is filled with devotion. During this time, two symbolic groups are formed, one for the bride and the other for the groom, who, following traditional customs, solemnize the wedding with great pomp and show. First, a procession of Lord Ram is taken out through the streets of Ayodhya. Along with the devotees, elephants, horses, and bands also participate in this procession.

Ram Kaleva is organized

Following the completion of the divine marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita, Ram Kaleva is organized in the monasteries and temples of Ayodhya. During this, 56 dishes are offered to the newlyweds of Lord Shri Sita Ram. Finally, the ritual of bidding farewell to Mother Sita is performed. Many people travel to Ayodhya to be a part of this divine event of Vivah Panchami.

Neither work yields benefits

On the auspicious occasion of Vivah Panchami, special pujas, yagnas, and rituals are performed in Sita-Ram temples. In many places, the Ramcharitmanas is also recited on Vivah Panchami. It is believed that fasting on this day and performing special pujas of Mother Sita and Lord Shri Ram removes obstacles to a devotee's marriage.
