Lucknow.  The movement against the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata has gained momentum. Today, private doctors are also on strike. 

On Saturday morning, junior and senior resident doctors arrived at the district hospital run under the Government Medical College in Pilibhit, but they did not go to their OPD rooms, instead the OPD was locked. Due to this, the patients who reached the district hospital were disappointed. On the call of the Indian Medical Association, doctors associated with the IMA branch have also stopped medical work in their hospitals and clinics from six in the morning. It has been announced that the strike of IMA doctors will continue till six in the morning on Sunday.

A memorandum addressed to the PM will be handed over to the DM with a foot march in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur.  On the national call of the Indian Medical Association, all the health services of the private sector including 42 nursing homes, 150 clinics of the district have come to a standstill. On the other hand, the trainee and resident doctors in the medical college closed the OPD service for the second day and started a dharna. On the national call of the Indian Medical Association, all the private nursing homes, clinics from the city to the towns were closed from six in the morning.

In the morning, all the officials including local president of IMA Dr. Vijay Pathak, secretary Dr. Gaurav Mishra reached the old district hospital, where they protested against the Kolkata incident. During this, along with the demand for making a central law for the safety of all doctors, the demand was made for death penalty for the rapists and murderers of the trainee doctor. On the other hand, in the medical college, under the banner of Resident Doctors Association, all the trainee and resident doctors have started a sit-in by locking the OPD gate for the second day. A large number of police force has also been deployed by the administration.

SR and private doctors on strike, OPD and lab closed

Firozabad. A 24 hour strike started in Firozabad from 6 am on Saturday. Private doctors are not seeing patients in OPD, new patients are not being admitted. Pathology lab, radiodiagnostic center are closed. Only emergency services will continue, that is, only serious patients will be able to get treatment. Only patients admitted in the ward will be treated. Junior and senior doctors of the Medical College Hospital have been on strike since Friday. Provincial medical cadre and other senior doctors will treat patients in the Medical College Hospital. IMA branch president Dr. Poonam Agarwal said that after holding a meeting in Firozabad Club, the organization will submit a memorandum to DM Ramesh Ranjan in the afternoon.

Private doctors on strike in Agra, OPD and lab closed

Agra.  In Agra too, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Agra started a 24 hour strike from 6 am on Saturday. Private doctors will not see patients in OPD, new patients will not be admitted. There are pathology labs, radiodiagnostic centers. Only emergency services will remain operational. Private doctors will treat only serious patients and patients admitted in wards. The strike of junior doctors in SN continues for the sixth day. Patients suffering from fever and other diseases will get treatment at the OPD of SN Medical College, district hospital as well as health centers.

IMA, Agra secretary Dr. Pankaj Nagaich said that doctors will keep their OPDs, labs, radiodiagnostic centers closed for 24 hours from 6 am on Sunday to 6 am on Sunday. Critically ill patients and patients already admitted in the wards will be treated. If the demands are not met even after this, the agitation will be intensified across the country.

Dr Kailash Saraswat, President of Homoeopathic Science Congress Society of India, says that OPDs will be closed in view of the Kolkata incident. Dr Manoj Yadav, Secretary of Indian Dental Association, IDA, Agra, said that IDA has also gone on strike along with IMA. IDA, Agra has 156 members, all OPDs will remain closed on Saturday. Dr Brahmavir Singh, President of Agra Physiotherapy Association, says that OPDs are closed.

Human chain on MG Road, condolence meeting at Martyr's Memorial

On Saturday at 9 am, people will gather at SN Emergency and form a human chain on MG Road. At the same time, a condolence meeting will be organized at Shaheed Smarak at 5 pm.

Additional duty of doctors in SN, alert at health centers

Due to the strike of private doctors, the number of patients in SN's OPD will increase, so additional doctors have been put on duty in the OPD. At the same time, doctors will give consultation to patients in the OPD of the district hospital. Junior doctors will not work. CMO Dr. Arun Srivastava said that doctors of health centers have been alerted. Patients will be given emergency services along with OPD at health centers.

OPD service completely closed in LLR, residents sitting at the main gate

Kanpur.  Resident doctors in LLR hospital completely shut down OPD services on Saturday. Since morning, doctors sitting on protest outside the main gate and prescription counter of OPD are demanding hanging of the accused and safety of doctors. However, even on the second day of the strike, residents are contributing in emergency and OT services. In view of the demand of the residents, Principal Secretary Health and Doctor Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma is expected to come to the city today.

On Saturday, senior doctors were limited to emergency services only. The OPD service of LLR hospital has been completely closed till the demands are met. Due to this, patients who have come for treatment from 18 districts along with the city are returning empty-handed. At the same time, residents of Ursula hospital have boycotted the OPD service. Only senior doctors are seeing patients in the OPD. Today, IMA will protest by marching on foot from IMA Bhawan in Parade to the District Magistrate's residence at 1.45 pm.

Protests also took place in Moradabad

In Moradabad, government doctors protested by tying black bands on their hands. OPDs will not be open in all big and small hospitals associated with IMA. Only serious emergency patients will be seen. Patients who need to be seen in private hospitals can now be seen only on Monday.

IMA doctors are gathering at IMA Bhawan at 10 am. They will submit a memorandum to DM in the afternoon. After this, a candle march will be taken out in the evening. In the evening, the candle march will end at Company Bagh Gandhi Samadhi via Peeli Kothi Chauraha from IMA Bhawan. In this, the demand for safety of doctors will be made. All the appointments for Saturday in OPDs of small and big hospitals have been cancelled. IMA President Dr. Ravi Gangal said that due to the protest on Saturday, only serious patients will be seen.

Private doctors went on strike over the Kolkata incident and took out a foot march

Rampur. Private hospitals, clinics, ultrasound centres, pathology are closed due to strike by private doctors. Patients are also troubled due to doctors not doing OPD. The doctors who went on strike also took out a foot march. On the provincial call of Indian Medical Association, private doctors did not work in the district on Saturday. Strict laws should be made for the safety of doctors. NIMA (National Integrated of Medical Association) also supported the strike. Doctors associated with NIMA also participated in the foot march.

OPD closed in Sambhal, patients returned from hospital gate

Sambhal.  Hospitals are closed in Sambhal. Due to the closure of hospitals, patients visiting there had to face difficulties. On Saturday, a strike was declared by the Indian Medical Association. On behalf of the organization, the president Dr. Sanjay said that a female junior doctor was raped and murdered in Kolkata Medical College. More than a week has passed since this incident, but even after this the accused have not been arrested by the police. In such a situation, there is a lot of anger among the doctors towards the incident and due to this, on the call of IMA, doctors have declared a strike on Saturday, due to which OPD work has been stopped in hospitals. But emergency medical treatment has been kept running, so that patients in critical condition do not have to face difficulties. Due to the closure of OPD, the patients coming to the hospital were forced to return empty-handed.

Get the test done in the OPD of Government Hospital, Moradabad

The Provincial Medical Service Association has also protested against the murder of the resident doctor in West Bengal. It has been announced that OPD will remain closed in private hospitals on Saturday. Due to this, patients can be consulted in government hospitals. There is a complete arrangement for all the tests as well as medicines for the patients coming to the district hospital and CHC-PHC. CMO Dr Kuldeep Singh said that there is a complete arrangement in government hospitals. Patients will not be allowed to face any difficulty.
