Lucknow. Cancer medicines were being sent in a box in a plane going from Lucknow to Guwahati at Terminal 3 of Lucknow Airport. While checking through the luggage scanner, I heard a beep. The box containing the cancer medicine was opened. The radioactive material used to secure it leaked out. Two cargo employees fell unconscious on the spot, there was a stampede among the passengers. Terminal 3 has been evacuated and handed over to CISF and NDRF. The airport spokesperson has confirmed that it leaked from the cancer medicine.NDRF Deputy Commandant Anil Pal has also reached the airport from Kanpur. He had gone there for the train accident.
