Additional Director General of Police Varanasi Piyush Mordia and DIG Azamgarh Vaibhav Krishna raided the Bharouli crossing of Narhi police station area of ​​Ballia on the border of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on Wednesday night by riding on a truck. During this, constables Satish Gupta and Balram and 16 middlemen were arrested while collecting money from trucks, while three constables managed to escape.

Based on the complaint of Inspector Sushil Kumar, a case has been filed against seven policemen including Narhi police station in-charge Pannalal and Korantadih outpost in-charge Rajesh Kumar Prabhakar besides 16 brokers. 

The entire Korantadih police post including police station in-charge Panne Lal has been suspended. 37500 rupees in cash and 14 bikes along with 25 mobiles were recovered from the spot. Its investigation has been handed over to Azamgarh SP.
