News Topical, Digital Desk : US President Donald Trump's aircraft, Air Force One, returned to Joint Base Andrews after flying to Switzerland on Tuesday evening. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt said the decision to return was made after takeoff when the crew on Air Force One detected a minor electrical issue and decided to return out of an abundance of caution. Trump will board another aircraft after his return and continue his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos.

What is happening in Davos?

The 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is underway in Davos. The meeting is taking place from January 19 to January 23, 2026. The meeting takes place in Davos every January. This year's theme is “The Spirit of Dialogue.”

The conference is attended by approximately 3,000 participants from over 130 countries and 60+ heads of state and government leaders. The conference focuses on global cooperation, trust-building, and problem-solving.
