White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt said the decision to return was made after takeoff when the crew on Air Force One detected a minor electrical issue and decided to return out of an abundance of caution. Trump will board another aircraft after his return and continue his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The conference is attended by approximately 3,000 participants from over 130 countries and 60+ heads of state and government leaders. The conference focuses on global cooperation, trust-building, and problem-solving.
