News Topical, Digital Desk : After rain in Uttar Pradesh, a chilly feeling has begun to form in April. On Tuesday evening, Noida and Ghaziabad experienced another spell of rain accompanied by strong winds, causing temperatures to drop and the cold winds to create a chilly feeling. The Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms, rain, and lightning in the state today. Hailstorms are also expected in some areas. 

Rain continues in Uttar Pradesh. Dark clouds have covered most parts of western Uttar Pradesh since morning. Rain is falling in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, and surrounding areas. Clouds are also looming over Noida and Ghaziabad . In the capital, Lucknow, temperatures have dropped due to the rain, and dark clouds have been hovering since morning. 

According to the Meteorological Department, today, Wednesday, April 8th, an orange alert has been issued for rain and thundershowers at many locations in the western Uttar Pradesh division. This alert includes strong winds with winds of 40-60 km per hour and hailstorms. Rain is also likely at some locations in the eastern division. A yellow alert has been issued for winds of up to 40 km per hour in these districts. 

IMD issued a warning of thunderstorm and rain

Today, rain will occur at many places in UP including Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bagpat, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Deoria, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli and Varanasi. 

Hail alert in these districts

An orange alert has been issued for rain, thunderstorms, and hail in Noida , Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Mathura, Aligarh, Agra, Firozabad, Etah, Kasganj, Badaun, Sambhal, Bareilly, Sultanpur, Sitapur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Fatehpur, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Kanpur, Auraiya, Etawah, Mainpuri, and Kannauj. Winds here will blow at speeds of up to 60 km/h. 

Due to the rain in Uttar Pradesh, the maximum temperature will drop sharply by 6-8 degrees over the next 24 hours, followed by a similar increase in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, this weather pattern will persist for the next two days, after which the weather will return to normal.
