
News Topical, Digital Desk : Karnataka Express Bomb Threat: The person who threatened that a bomb has been placed in the Karnataka Express train has been arrested. According to information received from the Railway Police, on May 11, 2025, at around 1:10 pm, the Kalaburagi District Control Room received a call from an unknown person, who claimed that a bomb has been placed in Karnataka Express train number- 12628. After this threat, the railway administration immediately came into action.
The passengers were deboarded and the train was searched
As soon as Karnataka Express (train number 12628) reached Wadi railway station at around 1:30 am, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) evacuated the passengers safely and conducted a thorough search operation. After hours of search, no suspicious object was found in the train, which brought relief to the officials and passengers.
The suspect was arrested after being identified
Meanwhile, the police have identified the suspect who made the bomb threat and taken him into custody. The arrested accused has been identified as Deep Singh, 33, who hails from Uttar Pradesh and works as a laborer.
Threat was given to spread panic among the public
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect Deep Singh had deliberately made the threatening call from his mobile phone with the intention of spreading fear and panic among the public and disrupting public peace. Following his act, a case was registered against him at the Wadi Railway Police Station under sections 351 (4) (giving false threat) and 353 (1) (b) (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) Act. The police are now trying to find out why Deep Singh did this?
