News Topical, Digital Desk : Two Delta Airlines jets collided on a taxiway at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday night, injuring at least one person in what the airline described as a low-speed collision.

According to a Delta statement, the wing of a plane preparing to take off for Roanoke, Virginia, struck the fuselage of a plane arriving from Charlotte, North Carolina. A flight attendant was injured and taken to a hospital, according to a statement from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

 

What did Delta say in the statement?

The airline said there were no reports of passenger injuries. Delta said the airport's remaining operations are not expected to be affected.

"Delta will review the incident in collaboration with all relevant authorities, as the safety of our customers and the public comes first. We apologize to our customers for this experience," Delta's statement said. The Delta Connection aircraft involved in the collision is operated by Endeavor Air.
