News Topical, Digital Desk : India and America have decided to resume trade talks, but President Trump's advisor Peter Navarro is not ready to agree. He has once again expressed his anger over India's purchase of Russian oil.
Actually, Navarro's anger is not limited to India's purchase of oil, but the main reason for his anger is the fact check of the claims made by him on X.
Peter Navarro generated a poll on 'X' in which he claimed that India's heavy tariffs on US imports were killing American jobs. He also claimed that New Delhi's purchase of Russian oil at discounted rates was motivated solely by profit, and that Russian President Vladimir Putin was funding the war in Ukraine with the proceeds.
Navarro's gamble backfired
Navarro's polls backfired on him and most people expressed their disagreement with his opinion. Navarro could not tolerate the official insults on social media and started targeting Indians.
"India's keyboard sycophants are hijacking X's community notes and suppressing the facts. They are angry at losing unfettered access to US markets at a time when India, the king of tariffs, has some of the highest trade barriers in the world," Navarro wrote on X.
