On Tuesday (September 2, 2025), former state president of the youth wing of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) Baban Yadav joined Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's party. On the other hand, former Vice Chancellor of Bihar Health Sciences University Dr. Surendranath Sinha also joined JDU. 

Umesh Kushwaha got him party membership

A get-together was organized in the JDU state office on Tuesday. On this occasion, JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha gave them party membership. On this occasion, many Panchayat representatives and social workers took JDU membership in large numbers.

On this occasion, Deputy Leader cum Treasurer of the ruling party in the Legislative Council Lalan Kumar Sarraf, Chief Whip Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhiji, Prof. Naveen Arya Chandravanshi, Satish Kumar, Anil Kumar, Dr. Bharti Mehta, Anjum Ara, Virendra Dangi and many other prominent leaders were present.

Green flag given to Jan Samvad Yatra

On the other hand, JDU's Extremely Backward Jan Samvad Yatra was flagged off from the party office on Tuesday. JDU's acting national president Sanjay Jha and state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha flagged off the Extremely Backward Jan Samvad Yatra. It was told about the Extremely Backward Jan Samvad Yatra that it will go to the booth level in all the assembly constituencies. It has been launched to take the historic achievements of the Nitish government to the booth level in the direction of connecting the extremely backward society with the mainstream of development.
