The criminal complaint also includes transcripts of telephone calls made by FBI agents to al-Muhtadi. In one instance, al-Muhtadi tells someone, "Get ready, the borders are open."
Al-Muhtadi told another man to bring rifles so he could take part in the attack. Another transcript shows al-Muhtadi telling someone, "If you have a full magazine of ammunition, bring it to me." Similarly, a man was asking him for a bulletproof vest for his companion.
