News Topical, Digital Desk : Tata Motors has released the sales figures for the month of December. Both the company's commercial vehicle (CV) and passenger vehicle (PV) segments have seen strong growth on year-on-year basis. Tata Motors' total sales in the commercial vehicle (CV) segment stood at 42508 units, which is better than the CNBC-TV18 estimate of 38,550 units. CV sales registered a growth of 25 per cent on year-on-year basis, whereas in the same month last year the sales were 33875 units. The company said that domestic CV sales in December increased by 24 per cent to 40,057 units.
Passenger vehicle sales grew 14%, while the company sold 50,519 units in the passenger vehicle (PV) segment. While this figure fell slightly short of CNBC-TV18's estimate of 52,500 units, it represented a strong 14% year-on-year growth. PV sales in December 2024 were 44,289 units. Overall, December was a positive month for Tata Motors, with strong demand for commercial vehicles and steady growth in the passenger vehicle segment.
Share Performance: Tata Motors PV shares were trading at ₹367.60, up 0.068% on Thursday, while Tata Motors CV shares were trading at ₹426, up 2.53%.
