The young man sentenced was accused of murdering the family of the shooter. Taliban officials identified the suspect, and the Afghan Supreme Court convicted him. Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada subsequently authorized his execution.
The child refused to apologize
The 13-year-old boy was then asked if he wanted to forgive the convicted man, to which the child flatly refused. Authorities then publicly encouraged residents to witness the execution. A formal notice was issued and widely circulated.

A crowd of approximately 80,000 people gathered at the stadium to witness the public execution. Taliban officials then handed a gun to a 13-year-old boy and instructed him to carry out the execution. The boy then fired a fatal shot inside the stadium, killing the suspect.
The Taliban's Supreme Court identified the man executed as Mangal, son of Talah Khan, who was found guilty of murdering Abdul Rahman, reports the Times of India.
