News Topical, Digital Desk : Stock Market Holidays 2025: The festive season is about to begin. Consequently, banks and stock markets remain closed. India's two major stock exchanges, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), will be closed next week for Dussehra and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. All trading activity will also be suspended on these days. There will also be no trading in the equity derivatives, SLB segment, electronic gold receipts (EGR), and currency derivatives sections on Dussehra.
There will be a total of 14 stock market holidays for the BSE and NSE in 2025. These include Mahashivratri, Holi, Eid al-Fitr, Shri Mahavir Jayanti, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Good Friday, Maharashtra Day, Independence Day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra , Diwali (Lakshmi Pujan and Balipratipada), Prakash Gurpurab (Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji), and Christmas.
