Former CM demanded strict action

Akhilesh Yadav demanded the immediate arrest and punitive action against the culprits. Former CM Akhilesh Yadav stated that several people, including former minister Ram Asare Vishwakarma, were injured in the attack. Neither villages nor cities are safe under BJP rule. Uttar Pradesh is experiencing its worst phase of anarchy. The attack by the dominant parties on the PDA is, in effect, an attack on 95% of the population.

On April 15th, the young woman's body was found in the Ganges River. The post-mortem report confirmed drowning as the cause of death. However, based on a complaint from the woman's family, the police registered a case and arrested an accused, sending him to jail. The entire dispute began over a visit to the victim's family. It was reported that a Samajwadi Party delegation was on its way to meet the victim's family when they were stopped by villagers.
