News Topical, Digital Desk : Lightning In Buxar: Once again a heartbreaking news has come from Bihar's Buxar district. On Monday, four people died tragically due to lightning in two different police station areas of the district, while five others were severely burnt. These incidents took place in Chausa and Rajpur police station areas of Mufassil police station area.

This incident happened in Chausa village of Mufassil police station area when more than half a dozen villagers were sitting on the banks of river Ganga. In the afternoon, lightning suddenly struck with loud thunder and rain, due to which six people including a cattle got scorched. Three people died in this accident. Two died on the spot, while one died during treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Mithlesh Ram (22), Shri Bhagwan alias Jhola Singh (60) and Virendra Gond (45). All of them belonged to the working class and had gone to the Ganga Ghat to graze cattle. Neeraj Kumar (16), Amit Chaudhary (30) and Sonu Kumar (18) have suffered severe burn injuries in this accident. With the help of villagers, they were immediately brought to Buxar Sadar Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors.

In a similar incident, lightning wreaked havoc in Devdhiya village of Rajpur police station area. Here, 11-year-old innocent Ankush Kumar died on the spot. Meanwhile, a person named Anant Ram was seriously injured. His condition remains critical. Mufassil police station in-charge Shambhu Bhagat confirmed on phone that four people have died and three have been injured. Everyone is being provided proper medical facilities. 

There is mourning in the area due to lightning 

There is mourning in the area after this natural disaster. The administrative staff is fully alert and the health department teams are keeping an eye on the condition of the injured. It is worth noting that a day before this, a young man had died due to lightning in the same block. Such incidents happening continuously have created an atmosphere of panic in the rural areas.
