News Topical, Digital Desk : Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla's historic space journey will now be launched on June 25. NASA gave this information on Tuesday. Through this mission named 'Axiom Mission-4', Hungary and Poland are also returning to space along with India.

This mission is being carried out in collaboration with the US space agency NASA, SpaceX and private company Axiom Space. This is the fourth private space mission that will depart for the International Space Station (ISS). Shubhanshu Shukla is playing the role of pilot in this mission.

The mission has been postponed before

The launch of the Axiom-4 mission was earlier scheduled for May 29, but it had to be postponed several times due to technical reasons. Sometimes the date was changed due to liquid oxygen leakage in the Falcon-9 rocket, and sometimes due to a malfunction in the Russian module of the ISS.

The launch was first proposed on June 8, then on June 10 and 11, but these too had to be postponed due to security checks. After this, the launch was planned for June 19 and then June 22, which was postponed due to review of repair work in the ISS.

Launching and space travel plan

Now the new date for the launch of the mission has been fixed as June 25. As per Indian time, this launch will take place at 12:01 am on Wednesday (June 25) from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The mission will be led by Peggy Whitson, an experienced American astronaut. India's Shubhanshu Shukla will join as the pilot, while Hungary's Tibor Kapu and Poland's Slavoj Uznanski-Wisniewski will be mission specialists.

Time to connect to space station

SpaceX's new Dragon spacecraft will fly on a Falcon-9 rocket. Under the mission, astronauts will connect with the International Space Station. According to NASA, the docking time has been fixed for 4:30 pm Indian time on June 26.
