Method of worship of Sawan Monday fast (Sawan Somwar Vrat 2025 Puja Vidhi)
- Get up early on the first Monday of Sawan and take a bath.
- Wear clean clothes.
- Take a pledge of fasting by holding water, flowers and whole rice in your hand.
- Prepare the puja plate and place an altar with the idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha.
- Anoint them as per the rituals.
- Offer things like Bilva leaves, Dhatura, Bhang, Shami leaves, white sandalwood, whole rice grains, incense, lamps, fruits, flowers, sweets, Panchamrit, etc.
- Also offer Ganga water and milk on Shivling.
- Chant the mantra 'Om Namah Shivay' 108 times.

- Perform the Aarti of Lord Shiva by lighting incense and lamps.
- During the fast, stay away from tamasic things and can only consume fruits, milk, curd, sago, buckwheat flour, rock salt etc. as food.
