In a conversation with Hindustan Times, both said, “For decades, innocent Indians have been losing their lives due to cross-border terrorism. What is even more disappointing is the silence or the rhetoric of Pakistani artists who work, love, respect and get opportunities in India.”
Directors in favor of not giving work to Pakistani stars
Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao further said that they will stand with the Indian government and will never give work to Pakistani stars in Bollywood. They said, “We completely agree with our government's decision. Not a single rupee should be given. Not a single minute of our time as a nation should be given. No Indian platform should be associated with them. The most important thing is the welfare of our nation and our people. We stand with our government and fully support its decision. Nation is always supreme.”
Amid India-Pakistan tension, Instagram accounts of many Pakistani celebs including Mawra Hocane have been banned in the country, and their TV shows or movies will also not be shown on Indian platforms.
