News Topical, Digital Desk : Aqib, a resident of Sathla village in Meerut, who was seen in a viral video with an AK-47 and grenades, has released a video from Saudi Arabia, declaring his innocence. Aqib clearly stated that a conspiracy is being hatched to brand him a terrorist, but he is a patriot.

In a video posted on Instagram on November 23, 2025, Aaqib, who was living in Saudi Arabia, was seen with four young men. He was also carrying an AK-47 and a grenade. The next day, a case was registered against Aaqib and Majul based on a complaint filed by Inspector Vinod Kumar at Nangal police station. During the investigation, Aaqib was interviewed and told the Bijnor police that the weapons seen in the video were fake. He also recorded a live video of both weapons and sent it to the police.

The police, relying on his statement, claimed that the AK-47 was made of plastic and that a CC of perfume had been used as a grenade. Based on this, the police filed a final report. When the Lucknow ATS picked up Saqib from Agwanpur village in Meerut, they discovered he was a friend of Aaqib. Following this, the ATS began searching for Aaqib, and a video circulating on Instagram revealed the presence of Aaqib and Majul, leading to a lawsuit.

The ATS contacted the Bijnor police and requested information about the case. Following this, the Bijnor police became active again. The then-SO and investigating officer, Satendra Malik, were suspended for re-investigating the case and filing an FIR. Najibabad CO Nitendra Pratap Singh has been removed for negligence.

On Monday, Aqib released a video stating that he is currently a driver in Saudi Arabia. He appealed to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister for justice, saying he was being falsely implicated. The NIA, ATS, and IB are now active in the case. Suspected Abu Bakr's sleeping module is being investigated in the district, and several individuals are on the agencies' radar.
