News Topical, Digital Desk : Following the completion of the SIR, a draft voter list has been released in Rajasthan. Approximately 4.2 million voters have been excluded from the state's voter rolls, totaling 4.184 million voters. Of the 54,656,216 voters in the state, 50,471,396 voter rolls have been submitted. Forms for 92.34 percent of voters have been submitted. Consequently, 7.66 percent of voters have been excluded from the list. 

29.6 lakh voters shifted/absent

In Rajasthan, 8.75 lakh voters have been removed from the electoral rolls due to their death, representing 1.6% of such voters. 29.6 lakh voters have relocated or been found absent, representing 5.43% of such voters. Additionally, 0.63% of voters have been excluded because their names appear in more than one place, representing 3.44 lakh such voters.

On an average, 21,000 names were deleted across all seats.

On average, approximately 21,000 voters have been deleted from all assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. According to Rajasthan's Chief Electoral Officer, Naveen Mahajan, those excluded from the voter list can file objections within a month. If the objection is found to be valid, their names will be reinstated. SIR of voter lists has been conducted for 199 out of 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. SIR was not conducted for the Anta assembly constituency in Bara district due to the by-election.

Most names were struck off in Jaipur

The highest number of names have been deleted in the state's capital Jaipur. In Jaipur, 68 thousand voters have been excluded from Jhotwara, the constituency of Cabinet Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. 61 thousand voters have been excluded from CM Bhajanlal Sharma's Sanganer constituency, 57 thousand from Deputy CM Diya Kumari's Vidyanagar constituency, 49 thousand in Civil Lines, 47 in Bagru, and more than 38 thousand voters have been deleted from Hawa Mahal. In Jaipur district alone, 536276 voters have been excluded from the voter list. Apart from this, mapping of 1.90 lakh voters has not been done here. This means that their or their family's name has not been linked to the old voter list.

It was done with complete transparency – Chief Election Officer

According to Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan, the SIR work has been conducted with complete transparency. It is because of this transparency that it has been put in the public domain. Any voter can check their status online. Furthermore, political parties will also be given the opportunity to file objections. Individuals and parties can express their views.
