News Topical, Digital Desk : Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Rahul Baba, don't be weary of defeat, as the Congress is sure to lose the upcoming Tamil Nadu and Bengal assembly elections as well."
Taking a dig at the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, he said, "If a party opposes every choice of the people, it will not get votes. It is beyond my capacity to explain this simple logic to Rahul Gandhi, because even Congress leaders have failed to grasp it." He was addressing a gathering in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Shah said that during a recent Lok Sabha debate, Rahul Gandhi asked me a strange question: "Why does only his party lose elections every time?" Instead of asking the public, he asked me this question. Rahul Baba, if you understand these two initiatives I've started here, you'll find the answer.
He said that the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will also win the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. The reason for our success is that people are connected to our principles. The Home Minister said that Congress opposed our campaigns for the Ram Temple, surgical strikes, the abrogation of Article 370, the Uniform Civil Code, the anti-triple talaq law, and the expulsion of Bangladeshi infiltrators.
Now tell me, how will you get votes if you oppose what the public wants? During a program held in Navi Vanjar, he handed over sanads (land ownership certificates) to 173 residents. The beneficiaries were originally residents of Vanjar village, located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, but were resettled in Navi Vanjar after losing their homes in the devastating floods of 1973. On the occasion, Shah also inaugurated the Western Trunk Line, a drainage network for newly developed areas like Shela, South Bhopal, Shantipura, and Thaltej.
Shah said that these 173 people were relocated to Navi Vanjar when the Congress was in power in the state. But even after 50 years, they haven't received land ownership rights. These people were rehabilitated here by the Congress in 1973. It was the BJP that identified them and issued them land ownership certificates. These people never protested or told me about their problems.
I've visited this area in the past as an MLA, but they never said anything and kept voting for us. However, we understood their problems, and under Modi's development-oriented policies, their long-standing demand was met. Rahul Gandhi should understand this. Instead, he's trying to understand the SIR, which is beyond his capacity.
