Pune: People stopped from entering hotel after Dutch singer was mistaken for Pakistani, protest was done against him, 14 detained:

News Topical, Digital Desk : A programme of the artist Imran Nasir Khan was to be held at the bowler pub in Yerawada, Pune. Imran Nasir is from the Netherlands, but suddenly there was a buzz that he has a connection with Pakistan. After this, a ruckus started there.

Actually, on Sunday (14 September) there was a program of Dutch citizen and artist Imran Nasir Khan in Pub Bowler located in Kalyaninagar of Yerawada. The news spread on social media that this artist is a Pakistani citizen. After this, some organization workers gathered in Hotel Bowler to protest.

The protesting activists were associated with an organization called Sakal Hindu Samaj. These people started protesting outside the pub and said that they will not allow Imran Nasir Khan's program to take place. They said that the singer may have come from anywhere, but he belongs to Pakistan. Therefore, they will not allow his show to take place in India.

14 people were detained
It also came to light that the singer is actually not a Pakistani but a citizen of the Netherlands. However, people did not listen. They tried to stop people going to the pub to attend the program. In view of the possibility of violence, the police detained 14 people for security reasons and a heavy police force was deployed on the spot.

However, some people said that even though Imran Nasir holds Dutch citizenship, he originally comes from Pakistan. In such a situation, protests continued and attempts were made to stop the entry of spectators.

The situation is peaceful.
To ensure that the law is not violated and violence does not escalate, the police took several strict measures. At present, Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke of Yerawada Police Station has informed that the situation is peaceful now.
