According to the calendar, the first Pradosh fast in December falls on December 2nd during the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the lunar fortnight). This Trayodashi Tithi falls on Tuesday. The second Pradosh fast falls on December 17th during the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the lunar fortnight). This Trayodashi Tithi falls on Wednesday. Method of worship

On this day, one should wake up in Brahma Muhurta, take bath and wear light colored clothes.
Take a pledge to observe a fast on this day and start preparing for the puja after sunset.
If there is a Shivling in the house, then install it or go to the temple on this day and worship Lord Shiva and Parvati.
Anoint the Shivling with Ganga water, milk, curd, honey and ghee.
Offer roli, sandalwood and flowers on the idol and offer Ganga water.
