News Topical, Digital Desk : The police took a big action against gamblers in Majhola police station area of Moradabad , Uttar Pradesh and arrested 10 people . After receiving complaints about a gambling den operating in the area for a long time , the police conducted a surprise raid late Thursday night , during which the accused were caught red-handed with cards and cash .
This raid was conducted on secret information , the police was constantly getting information that illegal gambling business was flourishing on a large scale in some parts of Majhola police station area. On this, Majhola police station formed a special team and started surveillance, on Thursday, a raid was conducted on the basis of secret information and 10 accused were arrested from the spot.
After the arrest, the police sent all the accused to the district hospital, where their medical examination was done. Complaints were being received continuously. Local people say that gambling was going on in the area for a long time, due to which the atmosphere was deteriorating. Complaints were made to the police many times.
The landlord used to organize gambling in his house
After the raid , people have heaved a sigh of relief. In this case, the police say that illegal gambling, betting and anti-social activities will not be tolerated at any cost. Regarding this entire matter, SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh said that the police station in-charge of Majhola had received information that gambling is taking place in the area and the landlord organizes gambling in his house.
The accused3 lakh 52 thousand rupees were recovered from his possession
On receiving the information, the police station in-charge of Majhola reached the spot and arrested ten people from the spot. 3 lakh 52 thousand rupees have been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused . These people used to gamble inside a house for a long time. The 10 accused arrested in this entire case are residents of the police station Pakbada area. Other material and 3 lakh 52 thousand rupees have been recovered from their possession. At present, all these accused are being arrested and sent to jail and further legal proceedings are underway in this matter.
