News Topical, Digital Desk : A leading human rights organization has alleged that the terrorist organization "Islamic State Pakistan Province" operating under the name of Daesh is carrying out activities in Balochistan under the protection of the Pakistani army and intelligence agencies. Its aim is to target Baloch movements.

The comments by Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) came after the US on Thursday condemned the suicide attack on a Balochistan National Party meeting in Quetta on September 2. The US embassy in Islamabad said Pakistani people deserve a life free from violence and fear.

The Taliban benefited from the patronage of the Pakistani establishment

The US stands with Pakistan in the global fight against terror groups like IS-Pakistan Province. The group had claimed responsibility for the attack. The BVJ stressed that although it is widely acknowledged that terror groups Daesh and the Taliban have benefited from the patronage of the Pakistani establishment, the US still stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistani military.

The statement issued by the human rights organization said, "Shafiq Mengal is the head of Daesh Khorasan. He has been involved in heinous crimes like targeted killings, forced disappearances of Baloch political activists with the tacit support of the army for the last two decades."
