India got the third medal on the sixth day of Paris Olympics 2024. Shooter Swapnil Kusale ( Swapnil Kusale won Bronze Medal ) gave India the third medal. Earlier, India had won both the medals bronze in shooting.

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won bronze medals for India and now Swapnil Kusale made history by winning bronze in the men's 50m rifle 3 position on his Olympic debut. With a score of 451.4, he fought till the end and won this medal for India.

Actually, India got another good news from shooting on the sixth day of Paris Olympics 2024. Swapnil Kusale won bronze by finishing third in the final of men's 50m rifle three position. 

After the kneeling and prone series, Swapnil ( Swapnil Kusale ) was in fifth place with 310.1 points, but he made a great comeback in the standing series. In the first series, i.e. kneeling, the shooting marks were 9.6, 10.4, 10.3, 10.5, 10.0. After this, kneeling (second series) - 10.1, 9.9, 10.3, 10.5, 10.1 shooting marks. In the third series, his total score was 51.6.

The first series of prone scored a total of 52.7 points, the second series scored a total of 52.2 points and the third series scored 51.9 points.

The first series of the standings had 51.1 points, and the second series had 50.4 points.

Pune-born Swapnil Kusale performed brilliantly in the qualification round and scored 590 points in 60 shots. 28-year-old Swapnil has been participating in international shooting events since 2012, but this is his first Olympic debut. Swapnil considers MS Dhoni as his role model. Like Dhoni, Swapnil also works as a ticket collector in Central Railway. His mother is the Sarpanch of Kambalwadi village, while his father and brother are teachers.
