New Delhi: Olympics has got the 'Dara Singh' of the wrestling world. Cuba's 41-year-old wrestler Mijan Lopez Nunez created history by winning his fifth consecutive gold medal. The Cuban wrestler won the gold medal by defeating Chile's Yasmani Acosta Fernandez 6-0 in the final of the 130 kg category of the Greco-Roman competition at the Paris Olympics 2024.

The big thing is that Nunez became the first Olympic athlete to win five consecutive gold medals in the same event. He is the first wrestler to win five gold medals in the 130 kg category Greco-Roman competition. Nunez announced his retirement by giving a sign after winning the final.
