News Topical, Digital Desk : The capital Lucknow witnessed a historic public outrage on Tuesday when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself took to the streets to defend women's rights, protesting the opposition's failure to pass the Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha.

Under her leadership, thousands of women marched from the Chief Minister's residence to the Vidhan Bhavan via the Civil Hospital. The entire cabinet, along with Chief Minister Yogi, took to the streets in this public outrage march.

This was not an ordinary march or rally, it was a direct and very sharp response to the attack on women's dignity and their constitutional rights.

Rally started from CM residence to Vidhansabha

Addressing the women in front of the Vidhan Bhavan, the Chief Minister said that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act is a historic initiative towards providing 33 per cent reservation to women in the Legislative Assemblies and the Lok Sabha, but the attempt to obstruct it by the parties of the Indi alliance including Congress, Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, DMK exposes their undemocratic and anti-women face.

These parties were given an opportunity by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to improve their negative image, but they misused it and did injustice to the rights of women.

The Chief Minister said that in protest against this injustice, half the population across the country is taking to the streets and expressing their anger in a democratic manner.

Despite the intense heat in Lucknow, the participation of thousands of women symbolizes the widespread public support and blessings for Prime Minister Modi's policies. He assured the women present that every citizen of the state stands firmly with this just demand of half the population.

The Chief Minister said that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the country has seen profound changes over the past year, with policies focused on the four areas of "women, the poor, youth, and farmers." As a result of these efforts, the country has set new standards of development and self-reliance.

Many schemes including 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao', Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana have brought positive changes in the lives of women.

Swachh Bharat Mission is not just a cleanliness campaign, but a powerful medium to protect women's dignity, whereas Ujjwala Yojana is not limited to providing fuel only, but is a medium to strengthen the health, respect and self-reliance of women.

Various schemes of the Central and State Governments are not limited to distribution of benefits only, but are becoming a strong basis for moving families towards self-reliance.

Efforts like the Prime Minister's Swanidhi Yojana and the distribution of house documents have helped connect even the lowest rung of society with economic empowerment. The double-engine government continues to work tirelessly, but the Congress, Samajwadi Party, and the Indy coalition oppose every initiative.

Women's safety was ensured under the double engine government: Yogi

The Chief Minister said that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act ensures 33 percent reservation for women in the Legislative Assemblies and the Lok Sabha, and that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister have assured everyone that this system will be implemented by 2029. Despite this, the conduct of these opposition parties has been contrary to women's dignity. This is why women across the country are united in their protests against these parties.

He said that the state's "double-engine" government is working with full commitment to the safety, respect, and self-reliance of women. The Chief Minister's Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme, and other youth-related schemes are proving effective tools in this direction.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to all the women for their large participation in the Aakrosh Padyatra, the Chief Minister said that the State Government will continue to work for the empowerment of women and all necessary steps will be taken to protect their rights.

Even the scorching sun couldn't stop their resolve, placards in hand, protest on their lips.

The march, which began from the Chief Minister's residence at around 10 a.m., was still blazing with intense heat, but the women's anger was even more intense. Carrying placards denouncing the opposition's nefarious politics, and echoing slogans like "India will not tolerate the disrespect of sisters and daughters, the SP and Congress are responsible for the attack on women's rights, the Congress's hand is against women's empowerment, and the NDA is on the ground for women's honor," the rally moved forward, exposing the opposition's cowardice and political selfishness.

At every step, the throngs of women sent a clear message: "There will be no compromise, no silence, no apology on the dignity and rights of half the population." The participation of thousands of women in the public outrage march proved that half the population will not remain silent on this issue.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was walking in the front row in this padayatra along with Union Minister and BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak and leaders of allied parties, cabinet members and officials of various units of BJP.

This was an unprecedented sight for the capital, Lucknow. The rally witnessed a unique blend of discipline and enthusiasm along the entire route. Active participation from all walks of life, including young and old, students, and working women, gave the event a broad social base.

At many places, the general public also supported and welcomed the march with applause and slogans. Women raised slogans against the Samajwadi Party and Congress and openly challenged the opposition's anti-women mentality.
