Daniel Pearl's father has also shared the picture on Instagram in which Pakistani army officers are shedding tears at the funeral of terrorist Abdul Rauf. Rauf was also involved in the conspiracy to kill Daniel Pearl. Abdul Rauf is the same terrorist who was involved in the 1999 IC-814 hijacking case. It was only after this hijacking case that terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh was released. The same terrorist who kidnapped and killed American-Jewish journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.

Terrorist Rauf killed in Operation Sindoor

Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist Abdul Rauf Azhar, wanted in several terror attacks in the country including the attack on Parliament, was killed in Indian strikes under 'Operation Sindoor'. Abdul was the brother of Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Maulana Masood Azhar and was allegedly leading the banned outfit in his absence.

Rauf was involved in the Pathankot terror attack

Apart from the 2001 terror attack on Indian Parliament, he was also involved in the Kandahar plane hijacking and the Pathankot terror attack. Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar on Wednesday admitted that 10 members of his family and four close associates were killed in India's missile attack on the organisation's headquarters in Bahawalpur. Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes on nine terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) late Tuesday night under 'Operation Sindoor'. These attacks were carried out in retaliation to the killing of 26 people by terrorists in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
