News Topical, Digital Desk : Politics has intensified following RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement regarding the Bharat Ratna for Veer Savarkar. Anand Dubey, spokesperson for the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction (UBT), responded to the statement, saying, "We have been demanding this for the past 50 years. We have been demanding the Bharat Ratna for Veer Savarkar ever since Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray founded the Shiv Sena in 1966."
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey said, "We are again demanding that Mohan Bhagwat ji, don't just make it a cakewalk. Warn the government, issue an ultimatum. We are demanding it. If we ever come to power, we will fulfill it that day."

He further said, "Don't play politics solely in the name of Veer Savarkar. We will appeal to the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Mohan Bhagwat ji, you are the eldest among us. You are the leader of Hindus. You should at least warn the government to award Veer Savarkar the Bharat Ratna within 15 days."
What did Mohan Bhagwat say about Veer Savarkar?
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday (February 8) that if Veer Savarkar is awarded the Bharat Ratna, the honor itself will enhance the prestige of the award. "Veer Savarkar does not need any award because he has already earned a place in the hearts of the countrymen," he said.
He further said, "I am not part of the committee that decides on this, but if I meet someone, I will definitely ask why there is a delay in this." Let us tell you that the demand for giving Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar has been a topic of discussion in political circles for a long time.
