News Topical, Digital Desk : The BJP, which had been busy completing organizational work for the past two months, has suddenly slowed down. While the district organizations were re-established after 2019, confusion persists at many levels regarding the selection of regional presidents, their adjustment, and state officials.

Even after several rounds of meetings in Lucknow, the party is proceeding cautiously. Though late, it is taking utmost care to recover. It is looking for candidates with a strong image and potential for effective election management. However, women will be given a one-third quota.

There is also talk of accommodating several long-established figures in the organization into boards and corporations to reap electoral benefits. The party believes that organizational work will be completed by the end of April. Cabinet expansion is likely to take place after the Bengal elections.

State President Pankaj Chaudhary and State Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh have been doing their homework for the past several days on adjustments within the organization, corporations, commissions, and boards. Major changes are expected within the state unit.

It is believed that new workers will replace those who have held office for more than ten years. However, since it is an election year, the party is weighing all the pros and cons. There is confusion about replacing all six regional presidents.

The party has already considered several options regarding the role they will be assigned upon their replacement. In previous organizations, regional presidents have even been elevated to MLCs. State vice-president-level figures have previously been appointed regional presidents. The party is also considering this aspect.

A 45-member team was formed

Bhupendra Chaudhary, who was appointed state president in 2022, formed a 45-member team, which included seven general secretaries, 18 vice presidents, and 16 state ministers. If one-third of the positions are to be given to women, their number will need to be around 15. The current state team has 11 female office bearers.

Kanta Kardam, Neelam Sonkar, Kamlavati Singh, and Sunita Dayal were appointed vice presidents, while Priyanka Rawat was included among the seven general secretaries. Meena Choubey, Anjula Singh Mahor, Shakuntala Chauhan, Anamika Chaudhary, Poonam Bajaj, and Archana Mishra were appointed ministers.
