New Delhi: The tension between China and its neighbouring country Philippines is well known. China's relations with India are also not good due to the border dispute. Now India is going to increase China's tension. India on Wednesday invited the Philippines to participate in co-development and co-production of military equipment with the Indian defence industry.

Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, in his address at the fifth meeting of the India-Philippines Joint Defence Cooperation Committee in Manila, highlighted how India is enhancing its defence manufacturing capabilities and exporting military hardware to various countries. During this, both sides appreciated the implementation of white shipping and the decision to open a defence branch at the Indian Embassy in Manila.

What will happen to white shipping?

Under White Shipping, information is exchanged between the two countries for maritime security. This information helps in monitoring and protecting maritime traffic. The main objective of these initiatives is to enhance defense and strategic partnership between India and the Philippines.

China will be monitored

This is especially important in view of China's aggressive activities in the South China Sea. During the talks, India and the Philippines also comprehensively reviewed their defense and strategic partnership.
