New Delhi: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah expressed his commitment to develop Hindi as an international language. He said that Hindi is moving towards becoming an international language. According to him, along with becoming the language of the United Nations, Hindi has become the second language of more than 10 countries.

A centre will be set up to protect all Indian languages

He said that a dictionary called 'Hindi Shabd Sindhu' is being prepared and in the next five years it will be the world's largest dictionary. On this occasion, Shah inaugurated the Indian Language Section. Shah said that in the coming time, it will become the center for the protection of all Indian languages.

Amit Shah made it clear that there can never be competition between Hindi and local languages, they complement each other. Referring to the Modi government's policy of imparting primary education in mother tongue in the new education policy, he said that countries which are unable to protect their languages, get cut off from their history, literature and culture.

Literature, articles and speeches of all languages ​​will be translated into Hindi

Describing mother tongues as an important link to national security, Shah said that the day we lose our languages, the unity of the country will be in danger. Inaugurating the Indian Language Section, Amit Shah said that it will work to establish a dialogue between different languages. Under this, the gist of any article, speech or letter in Hindi will be translated into all the languages ​​of the country and similarly, literature, articles and speeches of all the languages ​​of the country will be translated into Hindi.

He said that words from all Indian languages ​​are being included in the dictionary 'Hindi Shabd Sindhu'. Referring to the policy of promoting local languages ​​during the Modi government, he said that the entire syllabus of medical education in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand has been prepared in Hindi.

Similarly, work is underway to prepare engineering curriculum in 13 Indian languages. He expressed confidence that in the coming days, Hindi will also be the language of research. On the occasion of the diamond jubilee of the official language, Amit Shah also released a commemorative postage stamp and a commemorative coin. On this occasion, he also presented the Rajbhasha Gaurav and Rajbhasha Kirti awards.
